Why SPF is a daily step — not just a beach day product

Many people do not wear sunscreen daily because they have not found one that feels comfortable for everyday life.

In Malaysia, sunscreen is still often thought of as a beach or outdoor activity product. This leaves many people without UV protection on ordinary days.

The two types of UV radiation

UVB is the main cause of sunburn, and it is strongest on bright, sunny days outdoors. UVA has a longer wavelength. It can pass through clouds, and it can pass through glass windows, including at your office, in your car and at home. UVA is linked to slower, cumulative changes over time, such as uneven tone and visible signs of ageing. These build up over many ordinary days, including days spent at a desk near a window.

What PA++ means

SPF measures protection against UVB. The PA rating measures protection against UVA. PA++ indicates moderate UVA protection, suited to everyday life, both indoors and outdoors.

How to use Suncare Base SPF30 PA++

Suncare Base SPF30 Application Guide

Every morning, as the last step of your skincare routine.

  1. Apply after your moisturiser has absorbed. This is always the last skincare step in the morning.
  2. Dot a small amount onto 5 points: forehead, both cheeks, nose and chin.
  3. Spread gently outward from the centre of your face. It blends smoothly, with no rubbing required.
  4. This helps protect your skin indoors and outdoors. Reapply if you spend extended time outdoors.

Apply daily, whether you are indoors or outdoors. If you wear makeup, apply it after your sunscreen.
